Have any of you been to the NO Oyster Festival? How was it? Were the bands big acts?
I'd like to go but the website for this year's festival doesn't have much info. Thanks

And here we go.
Its an oyster festival that is timed to bring in visitors to the hotels instead of displaying how great Louisiana oysters can be.
Its not that eating oysters in a non-R isnt safe, its that they arent as delicious then.

Dragos And K Ruffins Last Year. No Complaints

I went last year and thought it was great. I don't care what the motive is behind putting the event on. It's still a good time to go out and enjoy some beautiful weather, drink cold beer, listen to live music, and eat some delicious food. What can be bad about that?
Surprisingly my favorite thing from last year were the "smoke-fried oysters" from Grand Isle. I've never been to their restaurant but from things I've read their other offerings aren't very good. Those smoke fried at the festival were delicious though.
