Got cut off in Arkansas after 4 beers

Turns out there's some stupid state law that prohibits bars from serving more than 4 drinks to customers. On my way next door, but that could be the most pussy law I ever heard. And people give Oxford shite for closing their bars at 1:00? Please.

I would be pissed.
What if you are with a group watching a game? They have no idea if you are driving and I am drinking more than 4 beers while watching a game.

Here's the Arkansas server's manual. There's a chart that says the BAC after the 4th beer for men is 0.08, and an Arkansas statute prohibits selling alcohol to an intoxicated person or a habitual drunkard.
I've never encountered this in Arkansas bars though. And Louisiana doesn't have dram shop laws except for minors.

I've been 21+ for 10 years, all in AR, and I have never had a problem getting more than 4 drinks in an hour.

Could be worse. I hear in Utah you can't get a drink unless you order food and you can't get your drink until you get your food.

The 4 beer limit may be to take the judgement (or lack thereof) out of making the call. Not uncommon, just not enforced in Lousiana too much.
