Jimmy and Lopez's predictions

quote:

So here we go...prediction time. This class is about as hard to wrap your mind around as any out there. If you're looking for LSU to get to 25, you may be disappointed. If you're looking for LSU to end up with one of the nation's best classes and one of the best in the school's history, you may be pleased.

Malachi Dupre, WR, 6-3, 190, John Curtis - LSU/LSU
Kenny Young, LB, 6-1, 215, John Curtis - A&M/A&M
Sione Teuhema, DE, 6-4, 215, Keller High School, Keller, Texas - LSU/LSU
Adoree Jackson, ATH, 5-10, 180, Junipero Serra High School, Gardena, California - USC/USC
Travonte Valentine, DT, 6-3, 335, Champagnat Catholic, Hialeah, Florida - LSU/LSU
Lorenzo Carter, DE, 6-5, 235, Norcross High School, Norcross, Georgia - Georgia/Georgia
Trey Lealaimatafao, DT, Warren High School, San Antonio, Texas - LSU/LSU
Emanuel Porter, WR, 6-4, 190, Lincoln High School, Dallas, Texas LSU/LSU

POSSIBLE FLIPS

SMITH: It wouldn’t be right to leave without addressing possible flips or decommitments. Getting multiple sources to add validity to your information can be extremely difficult. With that said, rumors have been flying for some time. Most notably concerning Ole Miss and a trio of LSU prospects in Barbe wide receiver Trey Quinn, Westgate tight end Jacory Washington and Plaquemines defensive lineman Davon Godchaux.

Quinn and Washington appear to be as solid as ever going down the final stretch, but late on Tuesday night, I received some info regarding a possible switch to Ole Miss for Godchaux. In following up on the info, I learned there may be more than just a little smoke regarding the matter. By no means am I saying a flip is imminent, but if it were to happen, Godchaux is as good of a candidate as any at this stage.

The other name rumored of late to be contemplating a possible switch is Douglass High School, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma defensive end Deondre Clark. Clark has been pretty solid to LSU awhile now, but there has been a push from his family to stay close to home and play at Oklahoma. His mother has played a big role throughout his recruitment and while she likes LSU and the coaches, letting her boy go may be difficult. In the end, I think he sends his letter of intent to Baton Rouge, but there will be some nervous people on the other end.

Did they say anything about Washington/Clark/Godchaux?

I wonder if the focus on the Texas guys is because of the staff feeling less confident in Clark and Godchaux.

I think Godchaux will be a tiger. Clark I'm worried about but possibly to Okie St, I think he washed his hands of Oklahoma. Hopefully and logically they should both be Tigers.

Wonder why they didn't do a prediction for Porter?
Unless they already know he isn't coming.

I have...waiting until the last minute usually means subconsciously you are trying to justify picking the less logical or safe choice. I.e. choosing lsu or an L.A. school

psychologically speaking, your mind often makes the last second switch to the tougher choice or option when adrenaline starts to run (NSD)
