I'm currently running a i5 4670K @ 3.4GHz but microcenter is having a sale on a Core i7 4770K 3.5GHz for $250. I've never overclocked anything before so I'm not really planning on it. I realize this is a pretty good deal but is it worth it moving from the i5 to i7?

Sell your i5 and yes it's worth it.

It's a great deal, but whether you'll see any benefit from the upgrade is dependent upon what you use the PC for.

So, what do you use your PC for, besides gaming? And also, what games do you play?

I picked one of these up at MC a few months back for that same price. Of course I originally wanted to only spend in the upper 100's but I don't regret it at all. I can play every game out right now on max with only a few having some slowdown. Running a 7970 as well.

No way in hell. Would be a total waste of money.
