With the playoff, the game has changed. It is about positioning your team to make a run at the SEC championship game and get in the playoff. Why would we continue to bang our collective head against the wall with a murderous OOC conference when our conference foes aren't doing the same. One of the Whiskey/TCU type games a season is good enough to demonstrate we have some schedule strength, plus the conference slate and a couple of cupcakes.

The playoff, if you get to it and advance, effectively gives you a couple of additional OOC conference games against a quality opponent. That is better than a Chicken Bowl or Outback game against an unknown or weak opponent year in year out.

I don't get this.

When did people stop caring about the actual game of football?

Are you fricking kidding me? ONE marquee game in TS next season, and we have to wait until the second week of NOVEMBER? WTF?

All summer long people can't seem to wait for kickoff, but as soon as the very first game kicks off, no one cares about the games week to week, it's all about waiting for the end of the season. I swear it's like a teenage boy having sex, it's all about the happy ending.

Some of us still like to be entertained during the regular season by watching quality football games at home. For some of us it's not ALL about the championship game, it's about the game itself week to week.

Next season's home slate will have everybody just waiting for the end of the season already.

After waiting all summer, it'll be nothing but, "Let's get this season over already and get to the playoffs." frick that.
