Xbox Live's Major Nelson hints at 'competitive pricing' for digital downloads
Xbox still hasn't given up on it's vision of the Steam model and if what Major Nelson is saying on top of the all digital Xbone then it looks like they have figured out a way to slow roll it and get people on board.
Maybe this is what they should have planned from the start instead of trying to force it on people but either way I would bet anything this is them trying to get to that point.

Right, and Sony has the Amazon PlayStation Store offering cheaper digital games.
Killzone and Knack are $40 and almost every other Amazon digital code for ps4 is $49.99 or has been at various times and they usually offer a $5 Amazon Instant Video credit with them as well. It's nice and only going to get better so at least that's good regarding pricing.
I'd still rather pay a subscription of $15 a month and just rent digital versions, I don't see why Gamefly can't offer something like that or Sony considering PS+ offers a 1 hour trial of games which is at least better than nothing before you buy.
