Why do we not have a statue of Pete Maravich at the entrance of PMAC?

The ESPN commentator brought that up last night....

We need to lift up our legends and show case them..

Shaq and Jackson should be highlighted more as well.

There aren't any sculptors available. They are all busy working on crappy statues of current coaches at Bama.

Not an alumni so he gets no statue. This is older than archeological dating can estimate.

Because Pete can't pay for his statue like Shaq did.

I am willing to bet he gets a statue within a year after the release of "Pistol"

Yes, they are about to start production on a big budget hollywood movie on the book.

Trust me Pistol will be known to the world after this movie comes out. Since the most famous part of his life was in college LSU will be prominent in the film.

Although, all you sunshine pumpers might be upset that they actually portray how he was in real life.... which is the most amazing part about him. He played like that, and broke those records while he was physically, emotionally, and psychologically fricked up. Could you imagine what he would've done had he been right in the head.
