It could in theory but the NHL just failed in another major southern market (ATL) and living in Texas I can tell you there is no hockey culture here whatsoever. If any teams move it will be a team already in the southern half of the country like Phoenix or something moving up to Canada.

Yeah the Dallas crowds are pathetic....every time I go I get this bad feeling like they could pack it up any day and leave
