I don't know about green, but I have seen what a red light will do.
My brother sat in his stand one night with a spot light and a video camera. When the deer would come out and eat corn and he would shine the white light on them, they would run off. When they came out and he put the red filter on the spot light, they would sit there and eat like no light was on them while he videoed them.

I have a red due to being told hogs dont see shades of red very well. Not sure how true this is but I've had good luck with pigs at dusk/night
