I don't think I'm ever going to have the time to really get into duck hunting, so I won't bother starting another "beginner" thread. But if I wanted to just find a spot or two to hunt a handful of mornings each year what would I look for?
I have one place that I think holds a few woodies. I have access to a farm with a few ponds in open fields, and a lease with a canal that floods pretty easily. All of this is on the Northshore. Would it really just depend on proximity to the lake and waterways?
