Has anyone had any experience with the med accutane?

I don't post here much, but feel the need to right now. About a year ago I had pretty bad acne and my doctor put me on Accutane. It completely cleared my acne, but my life has completely flipped since then. Things like anxiety attacks along with other things that are really affecting me. And it's begun to affect my relationships with other people. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Accutane? And things I might be able to do about the anxiety that I've been having?

Talk to the doc. Have him switch you to percocet.

Hmmm, I took it for six months, and it did the trick. Only thing that ever worked for my acne. Did not have those sorts of side effects though. I would see your dermatologist and maybe another doctor about it.

If you or someone you know has experienced any of these symptoms after using Accutane...
anxiety attacks, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and diarrhea
Please contact the law offices of Bob Loblaw

Consider a SSRI. Talk to a doctor about it-- who may refer you to a psychiatric specialist.

Look here to see if maybe you can be prescribed to something else that doesn't have as bad side effects: Link
I've heard a ton of stories about Accutane causing depression and anxiety. You may just want to see if you can be prescribed something else. Definitely ask your doctor.

Call your doctor. That happened to a friend of mine and they took her off of it immediately.

One of my friends took accutane throughout high school. He ended up getting Crohn's Disease.

Make sure you don't get anyone pregnant on it either. Causes major birth defects

Discuss it with your prescribing physician at your next scheduled visit. If the anxiety is too severe to wait until then, consider making an appointment sooner.
ETA- calling the office and leaving a message is another solid choice

I took it high school. No depression or anxiety issues that I recalled. It did cause my fact to start cracking because it was so dry. My lips were swollen to twice the original size.

I remember making the mistake of eating crawfish. Lips were swollen even more for three days. Also had to get blood work done once a month to make sure it wasn't damaging my liver. It cleaned my acne right up though.

Do you feel a strong urge to fly a plane into a building?
In all seriousness, my wife did two rounds and didn't have those types of side effects. She had good results with prescription retinae cream after accutane.
