"Petrino’s WKU contract includes clauses in which the oft-traveled coach must repay the school $1.2 million in six installments beginning a month after he leaves, while the program that hires him must agree to schedule a two-year home-and-home series with WKU."

imo, they were the smartest school to ever take a chance on him. they knew he wouldn't stay but they made it absolutely certain him screwing them over would only result in them basically having him coach them for free for 2 years.

I'm not a lawyer. How can a contract between WKU and Petrino require a third party to do something in the event that Petrino leaves WKU?
