Anybody had trouble with freezing pipes last night?

I think my damn water line to my toilet froze last night. It wouldn't refill with water when I tried to flush it.
I'm hoping there isn't a problem once it thaws out.
I'm going to let every damn faucet in my house drip tonight

the cold water lines to my master bath sinks froze yesterday

I went to run the water hose outside yesterday when I got off work (around 5:30 pm) and the water in my hose and the pipe itself was frozen solid. I'm hoping it didn't bust but it is solid freaking ice in the pipe. GUess I'll find out for sure once it thaws.

I had an outside line freeze last night. Woke up to no water. My wife just called. She went outside with a blow dryer and defrosted it. I thought she was stupid for trying that, but it worked.

knock on wood, it got down to 5 degrees at my house last night but nothing froze. I left one of the two sinks in the master bath, the sink in the downstairs hall bathroom, kitchen sink, and upstairs bathroom sink all dripping.

I left a couple of faucets on last night with a thin stream and had no problems.

Sounds like your wife is the handyman of the household.

one of my sinks this morning wasn't working, but it was the only one it seemed that was having any troubles. Shower was a bit slow to get the water moving, but it finally did after 5 seconds or so. I left the faucets open so that maybe something will start coming through, hopefully nothing bad happens between now and the wife getting home on lunch to check it out.

You need to let everything drip when it's that cold

I only let about three faucets drip, but tonight I'm going to let them all drip, including the shower since it's located on an exterior wall.

If I don't have a swimming pool in my house when I get home, I'll play and advance tonight. Was going to do it last night, but I was very busy all the way up till kickoff time.

for anyone who had frozen pipes, you have siding or brick on those walls?

She can hold her own in the house, but if I were home, I would have done it.

pier/beam house
most of my pipes are insulated, but I looked at the MB sink pipes, and they are insulated till about a foot from the house. Guess that is what froze.

She could rebuild a transmission, do all of the home repairs, and mow the lawn, but she is NOT touching the grill.
ETA: Just a clarification, I am not aware of any transmission rebuilding skills, but I'm not 100% sure she can't.
