The real reason why players are leaving early

It has ZERO to do with Les Miles and EVERYTHING to do with the way the NFL is structured now. If a guy gets a 4-6 round grade and will likely not improve his stock up to round 1-2 the following year, then it benefits them to go. They will get very close to the same amount of money if they get picked in the 6th round this year then they would if they came back and improved to a 4th round pick. So why not leave?
If a guy is projected as a 1st-2nd rounder, obviously they need to go. That's a no brainer.
If a guy is projected late 2nd-3rd round then they have to decide if they want to stick around and try to improve their stock enough to get the big pay day in the first round the next year. That's running the risk of injury and/or not improving your stock enough to go in the first.
It's not about not wanting to play for LSU, or Les Miles. It's all about there not being a big difference in money between the later rounds. The big difference in money comes in being a first round pick. If chances are slim of you coming back and moving from the 4th round to the 1st, then it benefits the player most to just go now.
So, get over it and be glad that we are putting tons of players in the NFL. It will keep those talented guys coming to LSU to give us 3 solid years.

Well some people obviously didn't get the memo, but you have people saying they would rather have 0 DBs from LSU starting in the NFL over the 11 we have now. As well as people blaming it on the coaching staff because they aren't keeping players at LSU for 4-5 years.

There are exceptions. I'm sure each player has his own reason for deciding to stay or leave. LSU may have one or two that could leave, but decide to come back for one reason or another.

Does anyone know if there have been any changes to the NFL's collective bargaining agreement with the NFLPA that may change the way decisions on when to go pro will be handled at the college level? I think I may be on to a new theory that I'd like to post about in somewhere between 5 and 7 more threads.

You really think you have thought about this more than anyone else? You provide no links or info on actual pay.
You are ignoring that EVERYONE in the country that is draft eligible has the same incentives to leave, yet it looks like 2 year s in a row, LSU will have more kids leave early than any other team. How does this not have anything to do with Miles or the program? He said as much in press conferences last year.

They can stick around and play for free or leave and get paid. Not that hard to see.

On average, Logan is going to make 50% more per year than Ford, and got a $684K signing bonus. Ford's was $3500.

Your argument would hold more water if LSU wasn't having a ton more leaving early than most schools for the pros. I know LSU is a very talented team, but they aren't that much more talented than many of these other schools that aren't losing 6+ early entrants in back to back years.
