If you were are in a desperate situation you might want to try DCA. It may or may not work. It reduced tumor size for my Dad with stage 4 lung cancer. He took no other treatment as it wasn't an option.

This isn't junk science there are some studies that confirm it's effectiveness.

Good luck either way.

I'm 42 and though they think they caught it early, it is located very close to the lymph nodes in my left arm. That, along with the fact that I have a long history of breast cancer in my family and tested positive for the genetic factor, makes them want to do a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I suppose that's what this first surgical appt is for..to discuss the options. But I was told that the decision has to be made fast bc they want to act on it fast bc of the possibility of metastasis to other organs. They just found the lump last week.

Do they know the biology of your tumor ? My mom was diagnosed in the fall of 2011 was triple positive node positive and opted for the double mastectomy , she was negative for the gene but both her mom and sister had bc as well. Never stop asking questions remember you are you best advocate.
Prayers sent.

My Mom was 40 when she passed it was discovered a few years before. My prayers are with you. Mom passed in 1974 so medicine has advanced so much its ridiculous. Some of the treatments she took are not even done anymore because they discovered they were ineffective.

I'm guessing I'll find out the biology of the tumor today. I've been a nurse for 20+ years so you can rest assured I will be on top of every single thing they say, suggest, do, etc. Nurses make horrible patients. LOL! I am just trying to remain upbeat and positive as much as possible. When they told me I had breast cancer, my response was, "Well damn...I wanted new boobs but this wasn't exactly the way I had in mind." It was the first thing that came to mind and so, naturally, since I thought it..I said it. The doctor looked at me rather strangely. Oh, wow...a commercial for breast cancer just came on TV as I was typing this. I am a fighter, though. I won't give in or up easily. If you knew my life's story, you'd know that as an undeniable certainty. Thank you, though, for your prayers and if you don't mind, whenever you can, keep them coming!

To EVERYONE who has offered their prayers, support and well wishes: Thank y'all so much. It means SO much to me and it makes me feel a little less alone in this fight.

The doctors will perform what they can and assist you....in the meantime, turn your heart and trust in God.
I'm sorry you feel like the end if your fight is nearing, there are no words that come to mind besides we are all saddened by your family's heavy heart and love you with all if our prayers.

My wife has breast cancer that has spread to her lungs and brain. She is in a clinical trial but I know she doesn't have much time left.

I think it's about time to let the fight go though. It has turned into a quality of life issue the last few weeks. She is 30.

This.

My mom is a survivor. About 7 years now. Good friend is fighting it now. She's having hell, but staying positive.

OP, I choked up s little. Tough times and compounded infinitely when a baby's losing their momma.
