I bought a zone 2" leveling kit from kirks to put on my f150. Everywhere I read there are mixed opinions. Some say they're perfectly fine. Other say, it's bad for the suspension geometry and it's inevitable that I will have problems down the road. I have seen post where people actually go through 3 steering racks before they decide it's not worth it LOL. I would like the look of a leveled truck but not at the expense of safety and reliability. I also know it won't probably ride "as good" as factory, but a lot of people say it does.

Thought I would ask the OT. May seem like a small decision but really, it's not. If I decide not to (which is the way I am leaning), I hope kirks takes it back. Bought it last week and it's unopened.

Leveling kit is fine from my experience. Lift kits are bad.

Much better than using one of those torsion key kits. I did that with mine and it rode rough as hell driving down the interstate.

Don't put the truck on a pedestal.

It's a tool. Keep the maintenance schedule. Fuel it. Drive it.

That's all.

Rancho quick lift loaded. Adjustable shock settings, keeps OEM ride quality (if not better). Complete bolt up. No cheap shitty spacers.

My biggest question for leveling kits its why? I know the answer, but the truck was designed with a rake. It helps tremendously with front visibility.

I had a 2" on my f150 and it was fine after 160,000 miles. I've got a 1.5" on my Yukon and it's fine.

You should post this on the Outdoor Board, I think there are a bunch of them that have leveling kits.

I have an F-150 will a factory installed leveling kit, it looks great, rides fine, and still have the same shocks.

Now is it worth it? Absolutely not. But if thats what you want than go get it. In my experience that leveling kit has not in one way affected my truck. My truck is 6 yrs old now.

How much do they cost now a days?

It's rare to see an F150 without one.....seems popular with the under 20 crowd.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you actually plan on keeping your vehicle more than 5-6 years.

I have one on my F-150, looks much better with the leveling kit. I have no problems with it and it still rides the same. Everyone I know with the F-150 has one and no one has ever had any problems.

My 08 F150 has had one on it since 09. No problems. On my second set of tires, got about 45k out of some BFG ATs. Now I have about 25k on some Hankooks and thy have another 25-30 in them.
