LSU's Biggest In-State Recruiting Miss of All Time

Any thoughts? just curious who the Rant thinks is the Tigers' biggest in-state recruiting miss of all time? Is there any one guy, or maybe a combination of two guys, out there who could have changed an era had we gotten them on campus? I'd count guys who were offered scholarships and turned them down as well as guys who we just overlooked.
Obvious Candidates:
Warrick Dunn
Marshall Faulk
Peyton Manning
Travis Minor
Ed Reed
Kordell Stewart
Reggie Wayne

I don't think it's fair to count the Mannings since they weren't coming here anyways.
My vote is Ed Reed

LSU didnt "miss" on Manning considering there was never even consideration of him going to LSU.

You left out eli. Peyton would be my answer. Lsu would have never pulled either no matter what though imo.

Didn't Faulk go to SDSU? What made him go all the way our West to a no-name college?

Faulk
Reed
The rest
Manning shouldnt be an option

John David Crow. Won the Heisman at A&M back in the 50s.

Marshall Faulk
Curley wanted him to play CB because he wasn't big enough to play RB in the SEC. Oops.
Joe McKnight was the 2007 version of Leonard Fournette. Losing him would kill recruiting for years to come. I think LSU has persevered. At least his recruitment had a part in USC getting the hammer dropped on them.

At the time, the most moaning and groaning I think was over McKnight. Landon Collins up there too. People were pretty pissed at Janzen Jackson too.
Those earlier recruits from the 90s are easily explained bc LSU was bad and recruiting didn't have the following it does now. No social media.

Marshall Faulk, because he may have come here if we didn't view him as a db. I think we were at least recruiting the others, they just chose elsewhere.

I would think it would be Marshall Faulk which would give LSU another Hall of Famer. He made the Rams look real good for awhile.
Thanks Marshall.
Thanks Marshall.

McKnight was biggest miss. Worked out fine but was a big blow to the ego.
