LSU needs to also limit turnovers by the post players. O'Bryant and Mickey only had 5 turnovers combined last game, which is an improvement, but they need to continue to work on protecting the basketball.
This is IMHO the most crucial area where the improvement needs to continue to get where we want to be.
Mickey and JOB3 have had alot of turnovers per possession early and as conference play approaches this will become a key aspect where continued improvement can mean the difference between winning and losing some close games.

If O'Bryant can limit some of his silly turnovers (walking/holding the ball too long in a double-team) and increase his FT %, then SEC front-courts are in trouble IMO.

That's a big if, as he still has largely continued some of those tendancies. But the hope is experience and repetition will finally take hold and JOB3 can finally get a handle on some of his bad habits.
Mickey is just now starting to see some double teams and more attention. Will be interesting to see how he handles it going forward.
Geaux Tigers!

Yeah I'm thinking the light will go off for him during SEC play (sort of like it did last year).

His traveling issues have never really seemed to go away, but he has cut down on the poor shot selection of late, particularly the mid range fall-aways.
But we largely run the half court offense through him, and he has alot of experience so his effieciency will be key to our relative success.

JOBIII needs to improve his awareness and elevate his game. When he dribbles he does one of two things: 1. looks down and tries to take it to the rack or 2. looks up and passes. He has to learn to be able to do both in the course of posting up.

JOB made strides last year when he learned to pass out if double teams. I'm hoping he continues to improve his passing but really just improve his footwork so he doesn't travel quite as much.
Mickey is young and makes some traveling mistakes but I think he's gotten netter lately. He needs to continue to get those TO numbers down.

Yeah, you would think by this point he'd have developed a counter move or two.
I love JOB3. Met him, he's seems to me to be great kid and I think represents us well. I want him to be the player I think he can be. If he can, it's gonna be a fun SEC and yes, post-season run, cause we are gonna keep running things through him, that to me seems obvious.

Oh no doubt he improved his passing, but I am talking about his ability to pass out of a one on one matchup or a late double team. When he dribbles and starts to attack the rim, he doesn't pass out of it, even if there is a late double team. If he added that to his arsenal and improved his footwork, JOBIII would be un-stopp-able.

Really excited for this , I know it's not a great matchup, but knowing how great of a spot we could be in at 10-2 going into conference play really pumps me up.

Not to hijack but ESPN gave us some love during the Memphis vs Cincinatti game. Said that Tennessee OR LSU could be right there with Mizzou, Florida and Kentucky, and that this Super Tuesday will decide which has a better chance.

Check the blackout map
I thought it would only be blacked out in south Louisiana, to keep from hurting attendance.
Don't understand why North La, Cleveland Ohio, Kansas and Oklahoma would be blacked out for an LSU-Rhode Island game.
