Any clue why this doe is so bloated? Body cavity was filled with air (didn't stink). Sounded like a big rig letting off air brakes when I was cleaning her, but I didn't puncture the guts.

Where was she shot? How far did she go after getting shot? Cavity can fill with air as deer breathes before dying due to punctured lung.

sometimes when you see a doe that has blown-up like a gov't feed mule she had a nursing fawn/yearling that has been killed (coyotes, smashed by a truck, accidentally shot, etc) before she weened it
