All anyone has to do is look at Central and Zachary to see what happened to their school taxes.

But did Central and Zachary claim sales tax revenue from major commercial properties like the Mall of Louisiana and Perkins Rowe?

Seems like St. George would have a better "endowment" to work with.

BR will incorporate the Mall of La and Perkins Rowe before a break away takes place.

The wheels are already in motion for that to happen.

Both Zachary and Central are very small geographically compared to the proposed St George district.

St George includes almost half the parish from the Miss River by Gardere all the way up to past Fla Blvd on the northeast side bordering Livingston Parish. It is almost the same amount of square miles as what is in the BR city limits.

The costs of supporting that much area will be much greater than the compact areas of Zachary and Central.
