Here's what concerns me about OBrien to Houston reports.

1. Nobody reported possible interview
2. Mort and crew while knowledgable aren't reporting numbers
3. The Texans still are playing and they have to satisfy Rooney rule.
4. You can not interview any NFL coaches or assistants during game week.
5. If you hire someone from another NFL team it has to be at a higher position. I have never understood that rule . But my point is, that goes to reasons 3 and 4.

I thought the interview happened like a week ago though? Reportedly, obviously.

Numbers (real numbers, not the 10 year $100M type numbers) usually don't get reported until the deal is done. To let negotiated numbers leak out can bite you if your primary candidate passes on the job then you've allowed the second choice candidate leverage in negotiations as he knows what you are willing to pay.
