Basically he alluded that it pissed Hootie off that Bama kept pursuing other safeties. Also the family and friend pressure has pushed him to us.

Don't you know? Bama didn't want him. Processed.

My best guess is that when Saban started being rumored to Texas it made him step back and think about the bigger picture. There is a strong chance that Saban may not be around for 4 more years at Alabama. If that happens, is he comfortable being at a Sabanless Alabama?
On the other hand, LSU is LSU. He has friends and probably a cousin or two there. If Les Miles were to leave, LSU is probably still just as desirable as it would be if Les were there all 4 years.
So in other words, maybe he realized he wants to commit to a school and not just a coach.

Mike Detillier knows no more than what he reads on recruiting sites

He was all LSU at one time, imo, until CRob got in his ear. He and his crew told him not to listen to other people, but do what was best for him. I think he realized LSU was where he really wanted to be..., like he did originally.
I maybe wrong, but I think I'm right in my assumption.

Detellier is less than impressive as an NFL scout. When he gets into college recruiting he just embarrasses himself.

Mike Detillier is a hack with no sources. All he does is report common sense with a little bit of rumor that he makes up.
