Panel to recommend hires

After the 2012 NFL season, the 32 teams in the league combined to hire 14 new head coaches and general managers. Despite the presence of the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview at least one minority candidate for a head coaching job, no minority coaches were hired.

The NFL doesn't want that happen to again, so the league has assembled a panel of eight former coaches and general managers to help identify the top minority coaching candidates

They can piss and moan all they want, but unless they start forcing guys into jobs, they can't do a damn thing. Teams will hire whoever they think will best run their franchise. The end.

Why is there not a panel set up to identify the top white players to help teams draft or sign them? Clearly the majority of players are black and that can only be due to discrimination.

What if a white guy is better at the job? Should a minority be hired if he isn't as good, just because he is a minority?

I don't get why this is such a big deal. So what that there just so happens to be less coaches of a certain skin color. Teams are gonna hire candidates based on their on the field success/philosophies not skin color.

What about gay head coaches? A gay, minority coach with a disability would be the balls

my question is, how many minorities is enough? 6 coaches and 4 GMs? 10 and 8?
