Will big commitments like Fournette and CG influence the players to stay?

Let's be honest, if we snag Fournette, Speedy,..etc any tiger fan would be able to smell a championship waiting to happen, and the players would as well. Can't help but think an amazing year in recruiting could influence the possibly NFL bound guys.

Actually I think it will dissuade them a bit. Especially in the WR corp.

You seriously cant believe Landry or Beckham actually care about a few 5-star WRs coming in. They have established themselves as elite receivers here, a few freshmen wouldnt take catches away from them.

I don't see freshmen threatening Landry or Beckham...

5 star players only help a team if they are cultivated and used properly. Les is not very good at cultivating. ie. Russell Shepard. Landry and Beckham came in as freaks of nature, no cultivation needed. Way to pull the championship trigger far to early there Barney Fife.

No, but a big time player already on the team deciding to stay over pros does influence other players to stay.

And no.. No big time starters are concerned with whoever is coming in. They aren't taking away from their playing time.

Never said we were guaranteed a NC. But the tools are there. I thought maybe the players could see it.

Freshman recruiting classes typically don't materialize into NC's their first year. So seniors aren't looking to freshman to get them a ring.

Could you imagine dequille and obj with Landry in the slot?

I have a hard time believing players would choose to return for any other reason than to improve their draft stock, not to play with future recruits or winning championships or anything else.
I would hope some players learn from past LSU players leaving too early. If you're not a top 3 round draft pick, stay in school.
