I think the stars of the teams are completely being taken advantage of. The schools and the NCAA can sell and market the jerseys, faces, and likeness of star football players yet those same players won't see a dime of all that money.

You are referring to the 1% of football players. Those same players will likely get paid in the NFL. I cannot remember any kid passing up 3 years of college football to take a job out of high school to prepare him for an NFL career.

How would the payment structure work? Should a star player at ULL be paid the same as a role player at LSU? Paying plays would create an even larger divide between top schools and all the rest.

In reality there may be 20 to 30schools that could actually afford to pay players. The rest use football/basketball revenue to support other sports programs.
