The funniest part of that whole scenario is that we would never hire Miles, he wasn't even a candidate.

Alleva could have called any random Arkytard and asked him about the Miles rumor, and then said tard would have laughed hysterically until Alleva hung up.

this statement is incorrect. it is not factual. just because one person and his buddies don't like miles the "fact" becomes no one else does either. do not, I repeat, DO NOT pursue a career in market reseach. also, lay off anything that requires proof of statement or logic.

Let's see...

A) Shits bed in BCSCG
B) Follows that up with disappointing season and Chicken Bowl loss
C) This season, LSU breaks down and loses last minute to an average UGA, loses to a decimated (and shitty) Ole Miss, gets humiliated by Bama, and needs a miracle to beat a horrible Arkansas team.

If anyone's deserving of an increase from $4.3 million, it's Miles.

If his agent tries this shite, LSU should publically tell him to screw himself.

Despite LM's failings, he is still 94-24 in 9 years in the SEC with 2 SEC Titles and a BCS title. Mack Brown has the same # of titles in 16 years. Yes we took a step backwards this year, but losing all those JRs would have killed anybody - even L'il Nicky.

His statement is far more truthful than you want to give it credit. There are a fair number of fans that would love to see Miles move on.

Keep in mind that Miles took over a program in great shape while Mack started with a program in turmoil and had to rebuild. The frustration with Miles is the last 3 years, not just this past year, and if this trajectory continues it will be unacceptable to many LSU fans.

the majority of those "frustrated" with Miles have been frustrated since the Arizona State game in 2005...

CLM is the winningest coach in LSU history in the toughest division in the toughest conference in the country. Yea, let's get rid of this loser. If UT is having problems luring a great HC there, who do you Miles haters think will come to LSU after LSU ran off CLM with his record?

About to get to work on their next losing season.

Meanwhile, we had to suffer through a 9-3 down year.

Arky and LSU simply live in different worlds.

That "average" UGA team was ranked #3 in the country at the time & only beat an LSU teaming playing on the road by 3 points within the last minute. Again, let's run CLM off and replace him with whom? Realistically?

I don't know if its still the case or not but CLM's contract did state his salary move each year to the highest SEC coach's salary + $1. If it is that way still, we'll soon know if he gets a 'new' one for ~ $7 million per year.

I have heard from more than one person he'll be in the running for Texas IF it came available. Now that it has I suppose one of two things could happen.

$7 million per year or Texas.....
We shall see.

Mile's agent has probably already contacted Texas as has Malzahn's. They are ready to break the bank and any coach worth his salt should be ready to take advantage of it. Cant blame them.
Of course, Texas fans are thinking they will get Harbaugh or Tomlin (lulz) so these guys may be down the list a way. Anyway Texas has helped ALOT of coaches get a big raise, no doubt.
