You guys need to make an effort to go see this team play, in particular JM. Very impressive player that does it all--rebounds, blocks shots, steals, and not to mention scores. I think he had 25-30 points tonight. He also does it with very little fanfare or bs, just goes to work.

This will be a very good bball team. I'm thinking they could be 3rd in the SEC, possibly 2nd if they catch some breaks. They will give good teams lots of trouble at a minimum.

It's great to see one of the front court players step up the way Mickey has. Now if the rest of the guys can find their roles around him it could be quite a successful season.

He wasn't as hyped as Martin, but if you watched him play in some of his HS games you could see this coming. He was very impressive in the "prep school" playoffs.

ULM doubles-up on JOB, so Mickey took advantage of it. Look for Texas Tech to double-up on Mickey next game, it should give JOB, Martin and Coleman a chance to shine.
The young guys are coming around, and Hickey is in the top 25 in nation in steals. Tigers No. 13 in Rebounding Margin

-article in today's Advocate below

Johnny Jones dropped a startling revelation about Mickey’s night.

“We didn’t call one single play for him,” he said.

That’s right. On a night when O’Bryant struggled to four points and five rebounds, Mickey made his bones on second-chance plays and by benefiting from double teams swarming O’Bryant.

The big diff between Mickey and JM was compition obviously. Looks like Jerrel will take a while to get used to college but Mickey was obviously challenged more. Both are great talents and this team is hardly average. Could of easily won the OS Tourney, was up by like 12 against the winner of it all and they jus showed their youth down the stretch but the game was closer than the end score and they were calling lots of fouls one way and not the other so...... But good teams can over come that. They will get better and watch out next year!
