long-term, what does keeping GV and lopez do?
lopez would help, but he wasn't exactly a defensive force or anything. he wouldn't cure our ills
i'd love it if we could magically get him back at that salary, but that salary got in the way of improving our team
GV would be a backup pg and not worth his salary at all, especially if we consider roberts' ability/salary
last offseason built up the backbone of our roster. this almost assuredly is not the final step
evans had a rough start, but he's giving us what we need: a bench scorer and a possible replacement for gordon IF we can move him for that big (one that will almost certainly be better than lopez)

If they trade Gordon, all bets are off and I'll concede that it was a possible good signing/trade. Although, in the grand scheme, Gordon is a much better fit next to Holiday. I've wanted Gordon gone since they got him. But it would take a huge offer for me to want to trade him now. He's actually starting to contribute and I like him as the 3rd or 4th scorer (behind Davis, Anderson and Holiday). Although he is still massively overpaid.
Is Evans a good fit next to Holiday? He is much more of a PG than SG, so it pushes Holiday off the ball. Which could work at times. I'd just rather the ball in Holidays hands. But it could work..
As of right now, I just see Evans as a 3rd guard/back-up SF that can light it up at times. He has great talent and he is way overqualified to be relegated to that role. For that type of role, Vasquez could have done something similar for way less money...

But keep them vs. having Reek, I'll take Reek every time
