Have you ever been to the little place at 620 Julia?

I was going to go Singha Thai Cafe, but they're closed.
So I was kinda just wondering around the CBD and stumbled on this little grocery store deli place
I thinks it's official name is Louisiana Products
Today was 'oven fried' catfish day!
There's only 3 tables and about 6/8 chairs
There's no menu, you just have to ask what they have
That plate and my big arse water was $8.95

Is that the place where the guy always had a port-a-john out front during Mardi Gras? Rented for a quarter/use.

next time you're down there check out the soul food being cooked up by the new folks who took over The Wine Bistro on Gravier @ S. Rampart. It's cheap and it's killer.

I walked right by them the other day when I went to Rouses to make my salad
(I'm addicted to salad)
I saw a guys plate sitting next to the window and it looked and smelled great (the door was open)

The ribs are very good - more boiled than grilled, but still damn tasty. While Tues is normally rib day, I've been there on some Tues and there were other specials.
