QB- true freshman, can run and looked composed in his one chance. We will see.

One thing that excites me is that our offense could look a bit different in this bowl game. Lots of new wrinkles ? Could potentially see some wildcat, some option. Don't get me wrong, we are always gonna want to establish the run first with our top notch running backs, then pass off of play action, but will be interesting to see what Cam does with this much time to prepare.

RB's- HIll and Magee are exceptional

2nd best unit on our team after our receivers. Hill is prototypical NFL back. In my opinion, they sub him out for Blue, Hilliard etc (in the name of wanting to keep fresh backs in the game) right when it looks like Hill is getting in his rhythm. Drives me crazy that they do this.

FB- Neighbors is a overachieving great college blocker who almost always makes good contact with the right guy. Copeland is huge and tough but misses most blocks but is good short yardage running and a threat to catch the ball out of the back field

This is another quality unit for LSU. Lots of teams would love to have just one of these two fullbacks.

TE- not used

We use them a lot in the running game. But he is right, pretty much nonexistent in our passing game.

OL - has some potiential talent, hard to get a handle on, seem somewhat average or maybe a little better than average.

Left Tackle will have a long NFL career. Can be dominant at times in the running game. Not as good defending the QB. This unit is extremely undisciplined. Would not shock me to see 4-5 back to back false starts on Iowa's goal line. Infuriates me that our head coach is a former O Lineman and cannot seem to correct this.

WR- great, best unit on the team, Landry is strong, sneaky fast and catches everything. OBJ, not as good of hands but very dynamic. Some other potiential talent there in Boone and Durel.

First time LSU has ever had 2 receivers over 1000 yards. They are both NFL receivers right now, both will be off the board in the first couple rounds when they decide to leave LSU

DT's- not much depth and the starters are OK. DT EGo can be hard to handle at times.

Former 5 star DT's have both underperformed.

DE's- they are on the field doing what they do

Underrated DE's. solid players. LSU fans are spoiled from the former great players here.

LB's - other than kwon Alexander you don't even notice they are on the field other than when you see RB's run past them.

Ditto. Kwon can be exceptional at times.

CB's- two true freshman who will be very good to great by the time they leave LSU. Right now they are good

Most improved unit on our team from first game to now.

Safetys- Loston can deliever a hit when he meets up with the runner, not much in coverage. Jefferson, true freshman, seems athletic. Martin average in coverage and average in tackling.

Another area LSU fans are spoiled. We've had some great safeties here also & this unit is just average.

Punter - Average (we only recruit Australian punters)

Kicker - Solid . Has been very consistent.

Punt Return - Above average . Beckham, when he is heathy, is dangerous.

Kick Return - See punt return.
