This will not be an easy game for us. It just won't. Jennings starting his first game along with the team probably not too excited about playing playing a B level team like Iowa... Iowa will be sky high with a chance to beat an SEC team that is in the National Championship hunt every year. The team needs to come out with a major chip like they did against Texas A&M...If they come out flat like they did against Arky it could be a long New Year's day for us.

We beat Auburn and A&M.

That said, anyone who thinks we'll blow them out or that they aren't a worthy opponent is pretty ig'nant.

Wyoming put up over 600 yards on mighty Nebraska in Lincoln. Try again.

Five teams beat Michigan this year and four beat Nebraska.

You do make a good point about LSU's motivation though. If they're less than 100% ready to play it may not end well for us.

That's the criteria you use to make your point. That they beat an 8-4 team and a 7-5 team? Color me unimpressed.

We get Iowa shouldn't be taken lightly but pointing out the fact that they beat Michigan and Nebraska has nothing to do with it. You do realize Michigan and Nebraska are both having mediocre down years? If LSU shows up in "Auburn/aTm" mode, Iowa gets waxed. If LSU shows up in "Ole Miss" mode, their chances of pulling the upset increases. If Iowa shows up in "Michigan/Nebraska" mode, LSU still wins.

I agree that it won't be an easy game, but not because they got by Michigan and Nebraska. Nebraska is a shell of a team without their QB Martinez, and a fairly good team with him. Michigan is a mess period. If the coaches allow our players to show up and not play with a sense of purpose and sleepwalk, it could be a very tough outing. If our guys show up motivated, focused, and knowing their assignments, I think we win comfortably.

So people are already trying to come up with justifications of why LSU loses or barely wins, just in case. got it.

iowa has a pretty legit defense so im interested in seeing how jennings will respond to them. i bet the team comes out swinging like the peach bowl in 2005.
