Just a really smart/veteran play. He didn't celebrate or stare down at the receiver. He knocked him out of the play, then jumped right back into it looking to help somewhere else. This is one of those things that many people might not notice during the game, but you can be sure the coaches will give him credit during film time.
This really was a great pick. I think he fits what Ryan wants to do and he along with the addition of Ryan have given this defense a hard-nose, tough attitude that we have been missing for a few years. Hopefully he continues to develop and becomes one of our anchors on defense for the future.

It's a quick loading page, and had a nice write up. I figured it wouldn't be too tough.

Idk why but I laughed when they called Ted Ginn a veteran. I know he's been in the league for a while and all but...

They were running a pick play to get Steve Smif open, but KV was having none of it. Just put him on the ground.

I guess we just don't realize how short some careers are. When we are young these payers seem so much older and like they will be around forever. They were talking about Colston being old the other day and I was confused, but then thought about it and it's kinda true.

I might be adding his Jersey to my closet this year. It's time for a new one. Although it'll be tough to quit wearing my Jenkins jersey. Been wearing it since his rookie season. Ive never seen anyone else with one on.

just throwing in a KV tweet-
Kenny Dwayne Vaccaro ?@KennyVaccaro4 8 Dec
I love FOOTBALL!!!!
I thought about him last night when watching the espn piece on CHI TE Bennett. Interesting dude but what caught my ear was him saying "Football isn't my calling" and he has other things he wants to do. That's well and fine. But could ya ever imagine a Brees saying anything like that? Vaccaro seems to have that same intense passion for football. Most all of these NFL guys are supremely gifted athletes. That's why many of these players can succeed in college on just physical dominance. When ya step up to the NFL it's the intelligence and want-to or passion that differentiates (cuz they are ALL uber talented). Didn't Collins say Sunday night that KV looks like a Palomalu in the making? I agree.
Lagniappe- ya'll see Mike MKenzie's tweets during the game? Nice...

That's not a joke. I actually wear a Jenkins jersey. I wish they would put him back at fricking corner. He's only 25. Put him at corner to solve that depth problem, and draft a ball hawk. Move Vaccaro to hybrid SS role type roll and add a ball hawk roaming FS o our defensive backfield and our D would be pretty awesome.

Ginn was setting a pick...I love Vacarro as much as any of you and think he's a phenomenal player. But, you or I could have knocked Ginn over there. He wasn't running a route...was only getting in the way. And, he did his job. The pick play was executed by Ginn/Smith.
The real play was made by Malcolm Jenkins who saw the pick and stepped into the void to pick up an open Steve Smith. If Jenkins had not stepped into that void to cover Smith, it was an easy TD.

This and if Cam would have had another second to throw or if he would have made the correct read Smith would have been wide open because he would have had Jenkins flat footed and ran right by him. But alas that did not happen because the pass rush got there and Cam sucks.
