How great was the RG3 trade for the Rams?

Not even trying to put down RG3 in this thread, but the Rams now are in line for the 2nd overall pick if the season ended today (by way of the Redskins pick).
I cant see the Rams needing Clowney, considering their D-Line is the strong point of the team. And if you assume that Bradford is still the long term plan, they can package this pick in a trade and continue to stockpile.
So, two years out, does it look like a legit trade for the Rams? I think so.

It's looking good, but depends on who they pick and how he turns out.

Last year everyone was talking about how the Redskins fleeced the Rams.
Now the Rams fleeced the Skins.
It's way too early to tell.

Also, I don't think the Rams have a franchise QB in Bradford & they still need a true WR1

Theyve got plenty of weapons at WR to compete. Not everytime needs that true #1 guy, few teams do
They need Oline help bad. And im not sold on Bradford at all but they are apparently sticking with him

They should draft Mike Evans.
He is a Vincent Jackson clone.

Honestly, I think they should start over at QB.

I'd try to trade Bradford and draft a QB with the Redskins pick. He's gonna be owed a shite ton of money next year.

Definitely looks good. And I agree they should package it and move down. If they can get a big WR to compliment Tavon Austin, they could turn a corner.
Granted they need Bradford to play well, and they must play SF and SEA twice.

1. Who wants to take that contract?
2. At #2 overall, do you pull the trigger on Derek Carr? I think that's a bit high.

I could see the Rams doing this.

yes, we need another Carr in the NFL

Bradford was having a good season before he got hurt.
in 2011, he missed a handful of games. But he's also played a few full seasons without getting hurt.
his injury was some freak play getting hit as he was going out of bounds. I don't know if you start over at QB but if they did I don't see how you could blame them.
They have to feel somewhat slighted because they used the #1 overall pick to get him.

I think they should start building heavily on the offensive front. They have a lot of strength in key positions defensively, as well as some of the skills spots on offense. If they get better on the O-line, I feel like they'll magically be competing with Seattle and San Fran in what feels like overnight, even with Bradford. Jeff Fisher can win with a mediocre QB, and Bradford may actually rise towards the top 15 QB's in the league if he's afforded an entire healthy season and maybe an avg of .5 seconds longer to make decisions.

Think they're going to give Bradford another year before looking a different direction at QB, was very injury prone in Year 2 & in Year 4 his injury came on a freak accident. His Rookie year he played quite well, 1 game away from making the playoffs for us that season. Although the NFC West as well all know was really really bad that season.
Before he got injured this season he was actually playing pretty well in my opinion. He played with a really bad running game (b/c Zac Stacy had not started yet).
Would love to see us go for a #1 WR or solidify our WLB spot with someone like an Anthony Barr. Also OL upgrades would be nice (minus LT).

Just continue to get several first round picks over the next several years like the Niners and Seahawks did and one year they will surprise people. They just have to continue to draft well

Jimmy Johnson "getting the picks is the easy part"

They need o-line help, a big receiver, and then solidify their other positions with depth.
