It doesn't hurt that Rece Davis graduated from Bama. But, with the coming of the SEC Network, Alabama is being marketed heavily by ESPN. Saban is their boy and Feinbaum is their mouthpiece. This was happening before the advent of the SECN.

Yes, he did graduate from bama..... but he does a good job. I don't think it's his fault that espn was on the bama train. It was the lack of anyone beating them.
