If we hadn't fumbled twice in the first half we'd have been up by ten at halftime. Bama would have probably come back, but it would have come down to the last drive.

How do you explain it?

We should have been up 14-0 on them after one quarter, but our on frick ups killed us early.

Alabama played a near perfect game against us and they fricked up on the field and on the sidelines against Auburn.

Easy as that.

I think at a certain point when you have quality teams you get matchup that aren't favorable.

Our defense is build for spread attacks, bamas from pro style offenses.

Obviously we haeva talent gap with most teams so it doesn't matter but where the game it that will come into play.

Coaching had nothing to do with it.

The big question is how did Auburn get it done against Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama, and we didn't!!

A quarterback that can move around gives you the best chance to beat a Saban coached team.

One common denominator for all three was that they were all home games for AU and road games for us.

AU is just a better team than we are this year. I am surprised we beat them as we have no defense. We were very much in the game with Bama until mid-way the 4th. qtr. then we just quit! Lsu simply cannot stop the run!!! The only good game we played this year was against TA&M!

Auburns offense has 4 things that can happen on one play. Jet sweep, run by RB, run by QB, or a pass. As you say on the pass touchdown, it's hard to attack and stay disciplined.

LSU in the first half passed a lot and even progressed to third options; especially play action to RBs to get them in space. Second half we come out and try to establish a power running game up the middle. Pretty easy to stop something when you know it's coming. At the point we adapted it was too late.

LSU ran a pro-style offense with an immobile QB. CNS could just dial it up, bring the house, like he likes without too much fear.

Contrast that w/ how (again) a mobile QB in a multi-faceted and run-option based offense gave him fits last week (and, yes, getting over 200 yds rushing on that defense qualifies as "giving him fits").

Also, Gary Danielson talked about how Auburn's D-Line depth was critical to Aubie's success as well. So there's that.
