ON a side note. Did anyone else get the feeling, when Auburn was driving the ball with under 2 minutes left - all running plays - and they were confident and collected and knew exactly when they were going to call timeouts and what not, that we would never ever have that feeling under Miles? I'm not flaming on Miles. I'm just saying.

LSU only had a 99 yard drive with a freshman QB and under 2 minutes to go the day before. But no, of course it wouldnt happen with Miles...

I dont believe that at all. If we played at home and came out with our best effort, I think it would be the same results. Auburn snuck by Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Georgia and Alabama. They are so overhyped at the moment. I know they just won the West Divison but they are also a few plays away from being 3rd in the division as well. There's also always the chance that LSU would come out flat a la Ole Miss and Arkansas and get destroyed.

We have the same philosophy as BAMA, but they're better at it. Auburn does stuff that BAMA isn't comfortable with.

also, their coaching staff prepared better than we did..they also have more experience w AL sys, as some have coached for AL before

Ok why didn't they do that AT Ole MISS. Lets remember that AU has improved BIG TIME as the year went on. LSU?? not so much.........

They were still ihigh off of the UGA game...home field was rabid...huge rivalry game. Combined with Saban making some conservative calls that kept AU in the game, it all came together perfectly.

Saban plays his own personal Super Bowl vs LSU every year. Simply look at his reactions at the end of the games both last year and this year. He looked like a cat on a hot tin roof for four hours at Auburn. Team was not very well prepared. This would never happen vs LSU

Did you read my post? What they did AT ole miss has nothing to do with how LSU plays every week. Why did they completely shut down A&M? Why did auburn barely squeak by A&M just a few weeks before that? I think if LSU plays their best, they beat Auburn if it were played tomorrow.

Auburn’s read-option took away Bama’s strength, while LSU ran straight into it. Auburn D schemed better than LSU. Auburn, with less talent just did a better job in the coaching.

The auburn backs hit the holes, ours kept trying to bounce everything to the outside, so auburn stuck to the running game

Yes I did.

That's why they are NOT an ELITE team.... They walked in there thinking they would just whip Ole Miss arse after they had gone through three weeks of hell. Just look at the Ole Miss schedule. I know LSU DID.

A week off after a terrible D showing against Bama. Chavis knows how defend a QB like Manziel. But Could NOT stop BO Wallace......... But I blam the Ole Miss loss more on Miles than anyone else.

Ok And IF AU plays their best.. NOW.. They would beat LSU/...........

no, I didn't get that feeling at all, during the drive I thought it was probably the worst coaching job I had ever seen. Now if he knew he had that last play in the bag, he's a genius. But had that play not worked he would have looked like a fool.

It's really more about match-ups, and this is only going to get worse in the SEC. You'll be playing 3-5 up-tempo, misdirection teams a year and 3-5 pro-style teams.

Doubtful, I wouldn't be surprised if Auburn finishes this season 0-2. I don't think they are anything more than an ok team on an absurd streak right now in toss-up games that just is not sustainable. Last year they were 0-3 in one possession SEC games...this year, except for Arkansas and Tennessee, all of their wins against BCS teams were by one possession. Auburn is 4-0 this season in one-possession games where they TRAILED with less than 2 minutes left.

Maybe they really are a team of destiny and will keep magically winning games at the very end. But trailing with 2 minutes left isn't a great recipe for consistent success.

By Saban??? Or By Mahlzon??? He outcoached Saban hands down the whole game.

Because Saban has never beaten an Auburn team that has won at least 9 games.

He is something like 0-6 against them as a Head Coach

Gus, on the final drive. He ran up the gut most of the time and went from 2+ minutes on the clock to 40 seconds without using a timeout. His QB can't throw it in the ocean from the edge of a cruise ship and he's on his 45 yard line with 40 seconds left letting the clock run. Again, if he 100% knew his only way to win was to do that with the last pass play in his back pocket, kudos to him.

YUP... Saban got outcoached and Bama got outplayed. Saban going for it on 4th down from the AU 13 is one thing[ } but letting AU basically run through them in crunch time makes me think Bama was NOT ready for a 60 min game.

He had NO clue how the last play would playout until Saban made ANOTHER crucial mistake.

The fumble at the goal line followed by Mett's fumble was a mental killer.
We beat the heck out of them and could only get to a tie in the 3rd quarter.
Probably a different game if we are up by 14 going into the 3rd - maybe the same result but we probably have better adrenal going into the 4th
