looking like lsu vs iowa (or Michigan St) in outback bowl

Just hear me out
South carolina is in the barn and will only go up in polls. Will likely end season around #7 in polls and likely above loser of SECCG
south carolina to cap one
SECCG loser to cotton
Lsu to outback because east so weak this year
Edit: added Michigan State after Wisconsin loss to Penn St. based on recent history, losers of conference title games are not invited to BCS. i had wisconsin slipping into the rose bowl with several losses in front of them and michigan st to cap one
with a tOSU win over Michigan St., it appears that cap one bowl would have a choice between MSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin. based on LSU-Wisconsin game to start next season, i think that cap one bowl and outback bowl would make deal for cap one to take Wisconsin and Michigan St. or Iowa selection for Outback

Better than the gator bowl talk that was going around a few weeks ago

probably won't happen
if Mizzou losses they go to Cap one (obvious first pick with Bama and Auburn in BCS)
Both Cotton and Outback pick next. Outback will likely go east so USCe
Cotton will go West LSU is the clear number 3
If Auburn Loses
Cap one takes USCe or maybe Auburn
Cotton would get next pick if Cap one went USCe they would take auburn, if they went Auburn they would take LSU
We could go to the outback if Cap one takes USCe forcing the cotton to take Auburn and we would go to the outback, but would they go against tradition and take a team from the east.

Rematch from 04-05 where 1 second Saban lost it in the last second

I thought the Cap One was obligated to take the team with the best record left after the BCS selections are made. The loser this year will have 11 wins and SC only 10. Did they change that?

I kind of agree with you. If mizzou wins though you would think outback and cotton make deals to get teams closer to them, I.e. auburn to outback and LSU to cotton.

Bowls not obligated to take anyone
They can pick whichever team they want that is bowl eligible
I'm saying carolina because I think they will have highest ranking after next week

I really hope we don't go to the Outhouse Bowl. They routinely screw the West so they don't deserve us. They've taken one West team over the past 16 years even when they had an opportunity to select a good team. We've been bypassed by them so I would prefer to go elsewhere.
The Outhouse and Birmingham Bowls were the only ones I didn't request tickets for this year.

4 SEC teams in the top 8 teams and only 2 can go to BCS games.

Rouge. Ranking means squat when the bowls pick. There is a reason we have been in Dallas so much and the bowls are regional.
If something sells, you don't change for the sake of changing it. SC wouldn't bring close to what LSU would bring to Dallas for the cotton.
All about money.
For the same reason, the Aggies would have a leg up if they were viable.
Also the same reason SC gets outback or peach.

Cotton Bowl is obligated to take the SECCG loser if it goes past the BCS Selection round and Cap One round.
USA Today

This year it is the Cotton Bowl's turn, by contract with the SEC, to take the loser of the SEC Championship Game should it still be available after the BCS bowl selections and the Capital One selection.
In this scenario, either Auburn/Mizzou loser goes to Cotton with the winner either in the BCSCG/Sugar Bowl.
Bama will either be in the Sugar Bowl/another non BCSCG BCS Bowl
I am assuming South Carolina/SECCG loser gets the Capital One.
We're the only 3-loss the in the SECCG, and i'd have to assume we'd go to the Outback Bowl.
We're in Cotton or Outback I think.
If the Cotton passes and Outback is real dicks about only picking SEC-E team, UGA would be here, and we'd fall to Chicken.

I hear they give a coupon for a free bloomin' onion with purchase of Outback bowl tickets.
I'm down.

Capital One WILL take 11-2 Auburn or 11-2 Mizzou division champ over 10-2 South Carolina that lost to awful Tennessee. And Outback WILL take South Carolina over every other SEC team left, including LSU, which leaves the Cotton, which WILL take LSU.
