...and he's proven that he's able to win championships.

There was a thread on the board earlier where someone said he does something where you love him one week and hate him the next. Which is true.

But I am not willing to risk stability when a coach has proven that he's able to win and win conference championships and a To reach 2 BCS NG games for a maybe.

Not disputing the recruiting holes. Hopefully the DL LSU recruited fill out.

Lot of juniors to be in 15 are quality players that can't leave until then.

...and Alabama hasn't? in 2 of their 3 national championships, they weren't "lucky?" There wasn't anything that didn't fall their way?

They play vs a backup for 3 and a half quarters in one

They don't even win their conference and they're allowed back into the NCG?

It's even possible they could do it again this year if they win tonight and make it with an easy game vs a down east Mizzou and if charges are brought on Winston, the they'd play another back up QB. You dont think that's "lucky as frick?"

If that were LSU, you'd say Miles "lucked out."

It is not stupid to want an elite program that consistently wins championships and being lucky has nothing to do with it. It takes work and intelligence to maintain that type of operation. It is what anyone associated with the university should want and strive for. Second best is not good enough.

how many times did they go into the title game with 2 losses?

no matter what sort of lucky breaks they got, they never need to re-write history to do so like LSU did

So, you don't think all the top coaches in the country are similar? You don't think they all strive to get the best assistants they can?

Every coach needs great players and great assistants.

you serious with that????

Getting into a national championship game without even winning your own conference is a little bit "luckier" than going in with 2 losses.

You're better than that.

With that said, they still WON. The bottom line was it was a win. Overall that's what you play for, isn't it?

yep.

I didn't hear Gumps complaining about barely beating LSU in 2012. And their fanbase lives and dies by CFB.

No coach who leads BCS teams in wins after nine fricking seasons while coaching in the SEC does so because he is lucky.

Only a true retard or useless troll would express such a clueless opinion.

Regardless who did it, if you're going to say try "lucked" out, BAMA has done the same.

With a 2 loss team, who didn't lose a game in regulation (I think), gets in, isn't a college football issue? They're all gauged by entire seasons, other teams should have taken care of business, should they not?

Gumps lose to AU on a OBJ (returned FG), haven't gone undefeated yet to NCG in this run.

Betcha they playing in it still as the "best one loss team" against a weak arse tOSU that barely beat Michigan (funny how many of these rivalry games came down to last play this week- LSU, AU, Oregon, MSU)

But according to my here, LSU is the worst... because of CLM.

Seriously, how many people do you think want him to leave? It's okay to be critical and appreciate the previous effort. But ANY coach can get complacent and careless.

shite, you know how many people up here criticize Belichick? It's not like they're trying to get rid of him. There is a difference.

BREATHE.

Now, he may go away on his own once Hoke gets run out of Ann Arbor. But I think we're past that firemiles.com phase.
