First time to start one of these, hope I'm not the only one in the stand this morning. It's a holiday week, everyone should be off work and in the woods.

Phillips Co. Ar-Kansas
33 degrees and dropping
Chance of snow/sleet around 8:30 - 10:30
308 Rem
Box stand

Cleared my pipes this morning so shouldn't have to worry with any pains, even skipped the coffee.

Start my 5 day hunt today. Hoping to start it off right.

Good luck to those in the woods and to those in the office, take off immediately.

Can't go this morning.

The deer started moving after 8:30 am yesterday. They were everywhere. I just didn't see a good shooter buck.

I'm headed to the office this morning for the last time this week. I was originally off this week, but decided to work today due to the expected rain and front coming.

Good luck out there gents.

Decent amount of shooting goin on around us. Shot at 3 groups and a single so far. Once the rain picks up it could get nasty.

For the sake of discussion on this frigid morning.... What was the worst conditions (speaking wind or precipitation) you have ever seen/harvested deer or hog?

For me it was my first bow kill earlier this year. No rain but wind was out the north at about 20 mph.

Back at it this afternoon. It's nice to hunt 200 yards from the house. I don't have this luxury in Mississippi.

34 degrees with light rain all day
Phillips Co. Ark
.308 Rem
Box stand

Hoping something slips up. So far my wife is the only person to shoot a deer this season and I can't take it.

Good luck to those out in the tree this evening.

Killed a 10 pt this morning in TN. Cold as shite and wind was blowing about 20 out of the North. Neck all swolt up and running stupid at the edge of a field. They're rutting hard right now with the weather change.
Aught Six from 140 yds. Got a pic of him in the back of the truck, but there's not a foot in it and he was a little hefty to hoist. I can email if someone wants to post it.
