How does hunting the North&South farm in Sherburne work?

The south is a lottery from what I understand, is this correct? How do you apply for it? Also is it worth the time, the couple of people I have talked to that hunted out there said there was very few birds.

Oh lord. 
This has been discussed quite a bit but here's the gist of it.
North farm has a shite ton of birds but I think it's for youth hunts only.
South farm has lottery on weekends but the application process is already over. That deadline is usually in October is available on the ldwf website. They also have lottery draws with which you have to be in attendance for by 5ish and you pick a number basically and get drawn. If I remember right it's on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
