Brussels sprouts are just about the most delicious things on Earth

Roasted, that is, with simple easy coat-them-with-olive-oil-and-salt and stick them in a high temp oven recipe.

2 troll threads on the 1st page. Maybe an admin will swing by and finally see the sticky request on the homebrew thread.

The red hot brussels sprouts at Butcher and The Boar in Minneapolis will change anyone's mind on sprouts.

I had a brussel sprout and red onion marmalade on toast at cure over the weekend. Very very good.

Try rendering some bacon in a wok and tossing them on high heat with some onions, salt and pepper. Trout bandit taught me that simple little diddy.

If you ignore all the other things in the world that taste better than cabbage, I guess.

Lately my favorite is grilling the sprouts and then tossing with crumbled bacon and blue cheese with a little bit of the bacon grease.

I'll skip the bacon (because I don't want to become addicted), but bleu cheese sounds like a great complement.

I agree with these posts. They're one of my favorites.

The ones I mentioned were tossed in butter and franks red hot sauce.

And then roasted? That sounds pretty awesome, too, but isn't Frank's a foreign rip off of Louisiana sauce? Where is that made?

Roast, boiled, etc. I love them too.

Yes, they were roasted. Not sure where franks is made, but it's become one of my favorites. It doesn't taste like a ripoff. It's got a more buffalo sauce flavor than any local sauces I've had.
And I'm actually not sure if they roast then put the sauce on, or sauce then roast.

Mustard greens > Brussels sprouts

I think that most delicious thing on earth (in the roasted veggie category) has to go to roasted cauliflower hands down.
But I'm starting to notice a pattern that veggies tossed in olive oil, seasoned and roasted in the oven are incredible.

So, what I'm gathering from this thread is the consensus is that brussel sprouts are only good with other tasty things on them, and Rex loves them with olive oil and the sea salt he can collect from the pilings of his bridge.
Does anyone actually like straight brussel sprouts? I think it's definitely one of those vegetables that needs help.
