15's or 7's?

I know a little about it but it's something I'm trying to watch more of.

I started watching about 2 years ago and now I'd say it's my favorite sport. I have to think if Soccer can take off and become popular here than so can Rugby.

Questions

So when a ruck is formed the defending team must go straight over the ball carrier to take possession?

Also can you strip the ball away when the offensive player is on his feet?

My cousin played Rugby in college, but I've never actually seen much of it, unfortunately.

I'd actually like to learn more about these other sports (rugby, even soccer), because the little bits I've watch have been really fun.

Been watching the matches in London. Good stuff, my first exposure to watching the game where it's popular.

I have friends that play. I went to USA 7's in las vegas last year and loved it. Granted it's a lot different from the full squad games, I really enjoyed it. I'm going back this year in January, can't wait. -- And the Rugby post parties kick ace. Makes me wish I wasn't an old cripple so I could play.

So far the 1st 30 minutes of this Wales-Australia game has been a real gem!!

some textbook rugby skills displayed by both sides.

Northampton have declined considerably since I tipped them to win the Premiership. Getting slaughtered by Leinster emphasises that.

In other news, rumours are that the Premiership has made advances to the Welsh clubs (Cardiff, my Ospreys, Scarlets, Newport) to join next year. Nothing's going to happen with that until the WRU litigation gets settled.

Team USA 2015 World Cup tickets will be the 'cheapest' available

LINK

quote:

Eagles’ games are priced at least expensive level during the group stage.

A fan of the Eagles could watch all the Eagles potential group matches as the Americas 2 qualifier for a total of $475. Take along your child to each game and it would only set you back an additional $72.

As the Americas 2 qualifier the Eagles will play Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, and the Asia 1 qualifier.

quote:

Once the group stage is over everyone will be paying the same price. The tickets for the quarterfinals will run $409, the price for the semifinals will be $843, and to catch the final in person it will set you back $1,171.

Honest question how many of you base your fav team on where your ancestors came from? I feel like I do that in most sports I know little to nothing about.

Looking for some help ya'll. My son is a high school junior rugby player. After a match this past weekend, our team president informed me that a college recruiter was interested in him. I've been looking at info at USA rugby and so forth, but was hoping those of you who currently play or did play in college could share any experiences and/or advice. TIA

So I'm at my daughters soccer game in Hammond and there's some kind of 'traveling' rugby tournament on the fields next to us.

Sign say 10th annual Gypsys tour

Any y'all part of this?

I have a question... if rugby was very popular here and NFL athletes were playing rugby instead of football, do you think the U.S. would dominate the sport?

(English) Premiership 7s going on right now. Entertaining, if only for the massive amount of mistakes.

Lots of Kenyans taking part.

ETA: Large fight at the end of Northampton-Saracens

Also, look up Mallinder's second try in that match.
