If the wife hates t-town and isn't putting out the snatch then Saban to Texas for snatch might just be a good reason.

I think they are just being real. Saban is the greatest college coach of all time.

"Every other school in the country" will almost always be second fiddle in recruiting, in the West, and in the National conversation as long as Saban is at Bama.

It is what it is. Might as well be real and hope like hell he leaves sooner rather than later.

Agree with you, but I fixed that one line.

I've been spouting this shite for a long time but people kept saying that Texas doesn't need Saban to win.

I said throw 10 mil/year at him for 10 years and enjoy your 3-4 NC's

Why do people say this? Is there an article I missed or something. I know she is very involved and seems to really like it.

This is truly funny. Your "minor in marketing" qualifies you to know that.

Wow. A minor in marketing. So impressive.

His wife loves Tuscaloosa. I don't think he gives a shite either way. I think Tuscaloosa, Austin, LA, or Timbuktu would all be the same to him

I really don't know how to feel about this.

Saban and Bama have helped each other. Alabama's prestige, tradition and fanbase mixed with his incredible coaching and program management skills is what made them a juggernaut. I'm of the belief that they helped each other become what they are today. It wasn't just Saban.

That being said, Saban at Texas would be a monstrosity that might ruin college football forever. It's already been less fun since the do-over bowl; if Saban was in Austin, it would be Texas vs. whoever the frick every single year and he might honestly rattle off 5 straight.

I'm being stupid. It doesn't mean anything, just like I don't suffer from super sanity.

I do believe it is a direct response though. The season after we win it all they start a "rise up" campaign featuring samuel l jackson.

fishy fishy

I don't get it. Not trying to be contrary. I just don't see how they are connected. But if they are, I guess it really doesn't matter much.

Back on point. I seriously would not want Saban back at LSU. I couldn't stand him when we had him.

I can't believe some of you who think adding Saban to Texas would destroy college football and they would win every year.

He hasn't destroyed the LSU spirit. He's turned half the college world into total puscatores.

Easy for you to say, you're from New Orleans. When you're from a small town in West Virginia, Tuscaloosa is like fricking Paris

I'm still in the "Saban is staying at Bama" camp, but it's really not that ridiculous to think that Texas could lure him away with the right price. Yes, I know, Bama will match any reasonable offer. Just depends on how absurdly high Texas is willign to go.
