I've leased land the last few years including this season in the Mississippi delta, I'm looking into finding a lease in the marsh to join for next year. I'm sure they're available for as much as I want to spend but on average what can I expect to pay to join a lease in the marsh ?

Thanks.

Depends where in the marsh you're talking about and how much area.

I got into one for $500 for 1000 acres. It's an OK area, but that's as good as you're gonna get for $500

I've paid around 2500 a year for membership in a hunting club in the delta that included duck hunting and a place to park my camper. What's available down that way in the same price range ?

I understand most good leases never have openings but hey you gotta try.

where is the current lease located, are you getting out of it, and why are you getting out of it?

Current lease is up near Indianola MS, I'm in it again this season. We consistently kill ducks but the 4 to 4.5 hour drive gets old. I'll stay there unless I find something closer to home. We might have an opening or 2 next year if you're looking.

Um if you are talking about the Marsh Club, I don't believe that is what the OP is talking about. If you are talking about the OP's lease, he just said they had openings

The comment about the marsh club was after my comment.

We got a new lease this year and had all 5 members in 1 day. Very few people will advertise good hunting property. It's hard to come by so it's kept close.

No clue what that means?

I just want to hang out in a big lodge, eat like an OT baller, and kill a Hollywood or 3. Vinton is real close to Houston too.

Actually a bunch. Cajun Constructors did a big job for me in El Dorado, AR a while back and I got several trips out of that job and we used to rent an arse load of equipment from CLM Equipment and got a few more from that deal.

It is a fine place. Lots of guys I work with are from Vinton and they know all the guides.
