I have Season 5 in last out of the 5. It is still better than most anything on TV, just not as good as 1-4.

Season 4 was amazing, I agree. Definitely my favorite of the series. No season 5 isn't up to the same level; I put it on par with season 2. Many people are turned off by McNulty's outlandish scheme (not saying, spoilers and such) in S5, but I found the best thing to do is just suspend disbelief a little bit and accept it. It sets up a pretty damn satisfying conclusion to the series. You won't be disappointed by the finale.

This show is amazing. I'm on season 5 though and don't really like it. I watched 1-4 in 2 weeks. I've been on 5 for about 2 months now.

Season 5 is certainly the weakest but the finale is great.

i've watched the first four seasons of The Wire...haven't watched season 5 yet...so far, so good...I enjoy the Sopranos much more than the Wire though...haven't seen the final season of that yet either
