There is absolutely no way a stadium can be inserted into the 75/285 section they have listed without MAJOR transportation work being done.
That cluster is probably the most congested area of traffic in all of atlanta.
With that said, if they can figure out the transportation problem, this is just a great move.

This move opens up NW Ga Brave fans.
You can get from Dalton to Marietta in 45 minutes.
HEll Bama residents that live near Pell City or Dega can get to Cobb Co in about an hour.

CCT has been running for a decade.
That's not even going to be close to good enough to handle all the people going to a game. They use something like 40 busses to shuttle people back and forth from 5 Points right now and that's ~20 minutes round trip.

If you're scared to walk in Turner Field, that says more about you than anything else.
No joke.
Turnout will not skyrocket beyond the first year novelty turnout.
Once people realize that the traffic to get there will be twice as bad as getting downtown weeknight games will be dead.
Cobb County can't support this by themselves and people in the city and east of 400 aren't going to fight to get there.
At least Marta can get you in the vicinity of Turner Field. There is nothing but gridlock in that area of town.

That's my thinking. I could make it down to a game in a little over an hour from back home in Chattanooga at the new stadium.

Yep. They better have gotten Cobb to agree to allow a train station before signing off on this. Otherwise weeknight attendance is going to rival Miami sometimes. It's smart to put the stadium closer to the core of the fanbase (Northern burbs), but it's dumb as shite to put it in Cobb.

They have got to figure out the traffic. If they can do that, attendance will be infinitely better than the current situation. This is in the heart of where the majority of the fanbase is located.

there is zero way they just decided this without major planning on commuting...this will be fine and Cobb County will flourish with the new stadium and surrounding "activities"

I'm thinking these stadium's need longer leases in the future, especially if tax dollars are used, which they always are.

plus now you can just jump on 41 and go to Boomers after
Boomers > The Cheetah
Boomers > The Cheetah

for those who don't know where its located, it will be right across the street from the Boy Scouts of America building, and a block away from The Weather Channel.

the whole galleria/marietta/vinings/cumberland mall area will flourish. The location is solid, BUT they have got to address the traffic.

Damn ATL doesn't like to keep their stadiums very long.

Turner Field is the retrofitted Olympic Stadium it was paid for upfront with all the revenue generated by the Olympics 20 years ago.

Don't really get the move. Move the stadium outside of what is truly Atlanta. Limited access on public for people who live downtown (no MARTA stop). And we're sticking the people with the bill.
