That iphone repair shop on oak st is really helping the tech industry boom here : you talk about renovations, everytime they want to pump money to renovate rampart, etc...the preservationist come out of the woodwork. So they're renovating the river walk mall, ooh. Remarkable recovery.
You spout old news, cliches and hackneyed diatribe. How about addressing the present and the progress made rather than reverting back to your tired old crap that was relevant sixty years ago. I realize you're just trolling. That's your rep.

Sick burn. Yeah, tax money is leaving the city, typical NOLA attitude.
But more is coming in. Last in every category? I don't know, it is topping the list in many categories, such as tech jobs, healthcare, influx of young professionals. I go all over the city every day and I see 'professionals' moving into areas I we all consider very bad (7th, upper 9th, Gert town, Milan) Look at Bywater, completely turned around for the most part and about to have a great riverfront park.
Uptown is pushing the nicer areas north of St. Charles through numerous restoration projects. Even in mid-city near Banks and Jeff Davis, I saw six houses on Cleveland avenue being restored, with classic corbels and lots of older style renovations. These were formerly ran down houses. The city is going in a new better direction right now. So I think the general consensus right now is more positive. Though at this point I would say the best thing to do would be to fix sewage and roads, and expand the police department and to levy whatever is needed to do it.

Is it your position that the N.O. economy has not improved in the last five years? Is it your position that there has not been an influx of younger professionals in the last five years? Who is living in the thousand new units of upscale housing created in the downtown area (don't make the mistake of tossing out the subsidized housing /Section 8 argument, I'm ready for it in spades )
Never took a position. Not sure what you're looking at.

Truth, and it's objectively measurable, but the Fox Mulder is just trolling.

Jeezus, if there were more construction going on you couldn't move around at all. Check out Jefferson, Napoleon, Clay-bawn, By-Water, etc. But yeah, there's still more to do.

Agree and modify the residency requirement.

So do you have a position other than fricking with BAT? Just curious.

On the outlook of the New Orleans economic market? No. But I'll look up some articles and become an Internet expert real quick.

But I am in expert in my field(which is one of largest economic indicators) and have tangible numbers and experience to back up what I say, unlike your friend. So right back at you.
