Lots of questions here. Is this just for the exhibition, or this CJJ saying Quarterman is the starting PG going into the season? If Quarterman is LSU's starting PG is it because he is just that good, or is it because Hickey has had some off the court issues?

Personally I want to see the best 5 play the most minutes regardless of class or experience. However the questions arise from the fact that Hickey has been LSU's 2nd best player for the last two years, and in many games, LSU's best player against big-time opponents (see Mizzou and UK last year)

I think Quarterman's length is going to be a huge plus in Jones' defensive system. Also, he may be able to make a free throw. The other thing is that it gives you height at one of the guard spots next to Stringer. You can switch and allow Stringer to guard the opposing PG and Quarterman can handle the bigger 2s.

I would not be surprised at all to see it stick. Hickey could be your spark plug off the bench with one of our taller 2s.

Most excited I've been in a while for a basketball season. I think we'll be pretty good, but I know we'll be fun to watch.

As of now, it's only for the exhibition. He made it a point that this was the last time to experiment.

Quartermann has gotten great reports in every practice and scrimmage. His only downside is he shooting ability.
