@JenHale504: #Suns guard Goran Dragic out tonight w/ sprained ankle tonight vs #Pelicans. Gerald Green will start instead.

how u doing?

From what it looks like, he's been good but inefficient. His fg percentage is pretty bad, but he's scoring 20+ per game. I think he's averaging around 8 assists, too.
ETA: looking further into his stats, he's just terrible at 3's but efficient elsewhere.

Suns just might be more dangerous with Bledsoe at the 1 and Gerald Green at the 2

His PER of 25.50 makes me really question PER because he's attempting 6 3s per game at 22% with a terrible a:to ratio. That's not a "weak mvp candidate" by any stretch of the imagination.

I agree, he should probably lower his three point attempts per game to 3, rather than 6. His two point fg percent is 54% or so.

Bledsoe is very good...a monster...filling up the stat sheet...54% two point percentage
...wish the Pels had gone after him

MVP

No MVP, but if he gets smarter and realizes that he can't shoot 3's he'll be good.

He'll need to hit 3s to be an upper echelon guard in the NBA. There have been good/great guards who weren't sharp shooters, but they also tend to be better at limiting turnovers. The guy's not terrible, but I do think he yet again exposes the flaws in PER.

-signed Rajon Rondo

I said upper echelon.
Also, Rajon Rondo has a much better assist/turnover ratio.

he shot poorly and too many from 3 in a few games. so what? the turnover number is ridiculous and will go down significantly.
even with those numbers, he's still great out there.
...absolutely great defender and does things in all categories that you only see from a few guards in the league

Bledsoe can do a thing or two better than Rondo, too

It is

and will go down significantly.
His highest assist:turnover for his career was 1.722 last year with much lower usage playing off the ball with CP3, so probably not.

Great?

He's a pretty good defender for sure, but that doesn't make him a great player and/or PG.

Rebounding and defense are the only things he stands out at for his position.

was talking about his total turnovers...he has been playing alongside Dragic at SG anyway.

Great?
ya, it doesn't mean he's an all time great, but he's very good out there...easily the best player on his team and outplaying his opponents.
11 free throw attempts per game so far...not too shabby...and ya, his PER is great for a reason.

ya, Kevin Love only stands out and scoring and rebounding.

I don't think anyone is claiming he's a top 10 pg, it's his first season starting. If he can limit his mistakes, he has a lot of potential.
