What's to get busted about? (Having just flipped through that particular arc, which I haven't read in years), it played out nothing like I described in my original post.
You know what you did man. Don't act like a 10 year old with the "What'd I do??" routine.
The spoiler that you are masquerading as conjecture is indeed a story arc from the comic that is due to happen on the show around this point in the show's time.
Everyone has made it abundantly clear on multiple occasions that the comic reader spoiler thread is the place for that talk. Not this thread.

How come this board doesn't have a spoiler tag option (which I tried to use in my original post, but figured the spoiler was so minor it wouldn't be that big of a deal)? It sure would save people from getting their vags all soaked over minor spoilers.

Whoever starts the nonComic thread every week, needs to include "no spoilers, no comic info". Otherwise, we don't really have a valid complaint.

I guess this is a fair point. I don't recognize the guy as he has very few posts so he may not know of the ongoing comic spoiler issue.
smkspy, there's a comic reader discussion thread where we can talk about comic plot points and characters and how they relate to the show and our theories on such business.
The episode threads are full of non-readers and as much as your post seems like a minor spoiler, it's still revealing something that non-readers had no idea about and that's not exactly fair to them.

I think the little girl burned those two people and Carol knows it and is protecting her. I also think that the will find more burned bodies and rick will know Carol didn't do it. They will go out on a huge search to find Carol and they will find the governor or something.
Excellent point

Another thing lending credence to the girl being the killer is that Carol had been teaching all of the kids how to use the knives. When Rick was imagining how Carol did it, she stabbed them in the head/upper neck. That's something she probably told the kids to do against walkers (as opposed to stabbing them in the chest, which may be a kid's first instinct).

Yeah, I didn't realize this was such an issue, and I honestly wasn't trying to spoil anything comic wise.

Yeah, saw that thread, but didn't go into it. I figured it was for the comics since there isn't a book board, and I'm not caught up on the comics themselves.

A fair point, and something being a zombie genre fan, I took for granted that some may not realize is a common plot point running throughout ZA films and literature. Egg on my face.

IMHO a standard "rules" paragraph that can be copy/pasted into the first post of each new thread should be created, comparable to the "babe thread" rules over on the OT. that would get rid of these same arguments week after week.

But this week the girl was still going on about walkers being people too. No way she killed them.

I doubt the little girl burned them. More likely the little girl could have killed them, and then Carol dragged them out and burned them to cover it up.
But even then, I think Carol was still the one who did it.

quote:yeah, some people are arguing that the girl killed them and that the girl is feeding the Walkers rats. Those two things don't jive. IMO, Carol killed them two. I think it is pretty clear. I don't think we're going to see a surprise twist with that. I wouldn't be shocked to see the girl brining rats to the zombies at the fence, and then someone kidnapping her...and that person end up being Carol at the end of the episode.

It wouldn't, but it may help.
There were always two episode threads each week for readers and nonreaders...not sure why it isn't being done this season. But these should definitely have the "no comic info" disclaimer in the OPs, no doubt.

I could see that happening easily.
Carol will be back at the prison for one reason or another pretty soon I'd imagine (unless they start a spinoff show with her and that's what this has all been about...which I really, REALLY hope is not the case).

It's also perhaps unclear to some posters that a "spoiler" in the sense of what actually happened during the episode that's aired is allowed (i.e. saying "Rick left Carol") but comic-book info about what hasn't yet happened on the TV show isn't allowed. This problem isn't unique to Walking Dead posts here either.

Yeah, that's a problem. Posting on other boards, I'm very accustomed to using spoiler tags, so this board not having them gives the impression that it's a bit of a free-for-all.
Here's another thing, I want to post a theory about the little girl being the killer, but then I realize part of that theory may be taken from the comic, so it gets tricky to actually talk about the subject without alluding to a plot point from the comic even if I'm not mentioning the comic directly.

This is the right answer. If you've read the comics, then you should be talking about the show in a thread where comic readers and show watchers talk about it all, imho. If you've read the comics then I don't see how any speculation could avoid what you've read there.
